National drilling rigs "Seyit Onbaşı" and "Naim Süleymanoğlu" in the field

According to the statement made by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, while exploration and production continue to bring national energy resources into the economy, efforts are being made to localize the equipment used in production.
In this context, within the scope of the protocol signed between Turkish Petroleum (TPAO) and Turkish Petroleum International AŞ (TPIC), it was decided to purchase two domestic drilling rigs in order to renew the drilling rig inventory of TPIC, which carries out important drilling operations in production.
Thereupon, two local companies and a university took action for design, software, hardware and manufacturing with local resources.
Following this work, the "Seyit Onbaşı" and "Naim Süleymanoğlu" rigs were manufactured. This marks the addition of two new domestically produced drilling rigs to the energy rig inventory, following the Koca Yusuf TP1500.
5,000 METERS OF DRILLING CAPACITY
Both rigs have a drilling capacity of 5,000 meters. The equipment has a total tower height of 43.2 meters and a table height of 7.6 meters.
The rigs, featuring a "U-Frame Cantilever" construction, have a hook load of 357 tons. They incorporate a hydraulic cylinder tower lifting system and have a hook power of 1,500 hp. The rigs' control system also operates with national drilling software.
The Seyit Onbaşı Drilling Rig continues drilling in the Atak-3 well in the Silopi district of Şırnak, while the Naim Süleymanoğlu Drilling Rig continues drilling in the Şehit Aybüke Yalçın-71 well in Gabar.
EMPHASIS ON "LOCALITY" IN EXPLORATION AND PRODUCTION
Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, whose views were included in the statement, drew attention to the use of domestic equipment in energy and made the following statements:
"If there's anything as important as producing our own energy, it's using our domestic and national equipment when producing our own energy. That's why we're working to make every stage of exploration and production 100 percent domestic. Our domestic and national drilling rigs, 'Seyit Onbaşı' and 'Naim Süleymanoğlu,' are a result of this vision."
Bayraktar stated that they named the two new towers, developed with domestic and national resources, after Seyit Corporal, one of the most important heroes of the Çanakkale Victory, and world champion national weightlifter Naim Süleymanoğlu. He said, "We wanted these two names, who hold a significant place in our history, to live on in our towers. Their determination and success serve as an example for us on the path to full energy independence."
On the other hand, Minister Bayraktar, in his post on his NSosyal account, noted the following regarding domestic and national drilling rigs:
Koca Yusuf, the symbol of strength and resilience... Naim Süleymanoğlu, the man of records, the embodiment of domestic power... The legendary Corporal Seyit, who shouldered the rise of a nation from the ashes... Our domestic and national drilling rigs, named after the power, determination, and history of the Turkish nation, are now at work in our oil fields in Şırnak. Producing our own energy is as much a priority as being able to do so with our domestic and national equipment. Our goal with our national drilling rigs, designed and manufactured by Turkish engineers, is clear: A Fully Independent Türkiye in Energy.
